California Bio-Mass, Inc. (CBM) was founded in 1990 by Dave and Mike Hardy. The "Hardy Boys," as they are often referred to, based their organics and recycling company on the principal good business and sound environmental practices do mix. The slogan, "Finally! A way to save money and the environment" created by the company still serves as the guiding business philosophy today.

Traditional management practices in agriculture, landscaping and turf are being re-evaluated. This is due to increasing regulatory restrictions, escalating cost for chemicals and water, and desire to improve the quality of the soil. Organic products, such as compost, in and of itself is not a cure for all issues confronted by today's growers and superintendents. However, incorporating organics as part of your overall standard management practices is both cost effective and beneficial to soil in which grow healthier plants, trees and grass.
